Activity - 9.27

This thursday we will be privileged to hear from Charles Woosley, a recruiter from Auburn University in Alabama.  Charles will be talking to us about how to become the best possible candidates in the Pharmacy School application process.  He has great insight into what we need to be doing now and how to best stand out on our PharmCas applications.  He is also going to be explaining what schools, especially in the south and east coast, are looking for in a prospective pharmacy student. He is traveling all the way from Alabama so let's be sure to show our appreciation for his time by attending this meeting.

 

The meeting will be at 7:30 in Room 164 of the Tanner Building. There will be amaZAzing refreshments. Come one come all!

Opening Social Recap

Thank you so much to all those who came to the opening social!

I have talked to a few people who weren't able to make it so here is a recap:

We also talked about the Kaplan Practice PCAT that is coming up on September 22nd in the Tanner Building so be sure to go to: kaptest.com then when you scroll over to "START HERE" click "PCAT" on the left-hand side then move your cursor over "EXPLORE THE PCAT" and there will be an option on the drop down menu that says "PRACTICE PCAT TEST" then enter your zip code by the "LOOKING FOR EVENTS NEAR YOU?" then scroll down to the one that is at the Tanner Building and "SIGN UP" It's a great experience I HIGHLY recommend it and it's 100% free.

We also talked about careers in pharmacy, the club in general, and the career in general.

Opening Social

Opening Social is Tuesday, September 11th
in Room B030 JFSB at 7:30pm

We will be talking about the club, different careers in Pharmacy and the benefits of pursuing this path, answering any questions, giving an overview of the year, introducing the presidency, and of course EATING!!!
So come and enjoy free food and learn about the Pre-Pharmacy Club. If you aren't sure if you want to join this club or if you are even interested in pharmacy this is the perfect activity to come to and learn about it!

Welcome to a New Year!

We are so excited that it's a new year!
For those who are new to the club or just checking out this website to find out more about it: this is where we will post all of the information about upcoming meetings, the overview of previous meetings, and other announcements.
This year we have made a point to make each of our meetings meaningful and we figured the best way to do this is to have either a guest speaker or a field trip for each meeting. As a presidency, we decided that this would make the activities more exciting but also give all of the members more exposure to the career of Pharmacy.
